The Finance and Administration Systems Team (FAST) supports Oracle’s PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM) and PeopleSoft Financials and Supply Chain Management (FSCM). In addition to PeopleSoft products, FAST provides integrations to and from third-party applications with tightly-coupled business processes. For each of these products there is a dedicated application support team which are the Payroll/Human Resources Systems Team (PHRST) for HCM and the Finance Information Systems Team (FIST) for FSCM.
Both teams consist of software developers with specialized knowledge of the PeopleSoft specific programming languages and tools which are required so the applications meet regulatory, faculty and staff requirements.
The responsibilities of the support teams include:
- Analyzing major updates and patches received from Oracle to the application and applying on a regular basis to meet regulatory requirements
- Designing, implementing, and supporting application integrations to 3rd party systems
- Programming additional required functionality that is not included in the base Oracle applications
- Assisting in configuration and enabling of new features when requested
- Responding to questions and reported questions, errors or performance problems related to the applications
