Purchasing Accessible Technology

The University of North Texas System strives to ensure that all Electronic and Information Resources (EIR) procured by the System are accessible to persons with disabilities. To reach this goal, those responsible for making decisions about which products to procure must consider accessibility during the acquisition process.

State of Texas laws require that Electronic and Information Resources (EIR) used, developed, procured, or distributed by Texas agencies and institutions of higher education are accessible to people with disabilities. Employees and procurement professionals should following institutional regulations, policies, and guidelines, including the UNT System EIR Accessibility Plan.
