IT Transformation - Dec. 12 Town Hall Cancellation and Update

Monday, December 11, 2023

Dear Colleagues,

I hope this message finds you well as we wrap up a successful year. Given the hectic nature of this time of year, I encourage you all to take time to celebrate the year’s accomplishments and reflect on all we have accomplished together.

After careful consideration and in consultation with IT leadership, we have decided to cancel the Town Hall originally scheduled for tomorrow, Tuesday, Dec. 12, to allow for more time for discovery and planning as it pertains to the future organizational structure and realignment of roles and responsibilities across the enterprise. Given the complexity and importance of these decisions, we believe it is in the best interest of our team to postpone the Town Hall temporarily.

This will allow us the necessary time to have continued conversations with campus leaders and stakeholders, as well as ensure we are leveraging the expertise of our outside partner, Deloitte, to ensure we are thoughtful and methodical in our approach. Over the next several weeks, we will work to ensure that updates and information are communicated effectively and to address any questions or concerns that may arise.

The next town hall will be scheduled for either Tuesday, January 9 or Tuesday, January 16 at 2 p.m.

Lastly, during this season of gratitude, I want to express my sincere thanks to each of you for your continued dedication to our collective success and for your commitment to living our values. I truly appreciate your support and commitment to the ongoing transformation and unification of our IT operations.

As always, feel free to reach out if you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions.

Sincerely,

Juan Serrano
Vice Chancellor & Chief Information Officer
