All employees and contractors of UNT, UNT Dallas, and the UNT System must complete Security Awareness training.

After October 1, 2020, employees hired and who complete onboarding won’t repeat Security Awareness training.

Keeping our confidential data secure requires the effort of technology, processes and people. In this training, you will learn why you are an important part of information security and what you can do to protect data. In addition, many regulations and standards require security awareness training for every employee.

Access Security Awareness training through UNT World Learning.

No. You can complete the security awareness training modules at different times, as long as all modules are complete by Friday, November 13, 2020.

All employees should complete training by Friday, November 13, 2020. Employees who don’t complete the training by Friday, November 13, 2020, risk losing access to computer resources.

The length of all of the required videos in the training is about 45 minutes. There are assessment questions in the training that may require additional time.

Yes, this security training is accessible on any device with a web browser.

No. The FERPA training module provided by KnowBe4 is meant to enhance, rather than replace, any existing FERPA training.
